About Schooladmit:

Schooladmit is a global recommendation platform to help users find the best schools, hobbies, tuitions and related services for school-going children.The platform provides a robust local search engine to discover relevant and most recommended services, workshops and events.We’re a startup by an alumnus from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

We are looking to recruit full time employees with experience in PHP-MySQL projects. We prefer candidates from the Computer Science branch; however, any candidate with a passion for technology can apply.

Location: Hyderabad

Scope of work:

• Understanding the requirements to implement Local Search using `Vector Space Model` (VSM) tool


• Implementation of Text Search based on proximity, weight, distance etc. Refinement and optimizing the search result to make it accurate, robust and scalable solution


• Implementation of various other business rules


• Expose and consume web services. Managing seamless integration with social media


• Provision for listing owner I.e. schools, contributors to manage listing, share news, events, offers. Providing this to be the platform of communication between them and visitors


• Provision for schooladmit administrator to manage, validate, moderate and verify listings


• Knowledge of various data structure which will help to design search, sort, refine etc. 

Must haves:

• Experience of coding in PHP (experience of using Zend Framework preferred)


• Knowledge of MVC framework is must. Should be able to design the code, modularize into MVC, implement into Zend. Customize the framework if needed


• MySQL, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, Jquery


• Strong database skills are required in order to design relational database with optimum normalization which should enhance the performance of application


• Strong problem solving skills


• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage your time


• Discipline and ability to work directly with senior management
