Responsibilities :
- Design and development of Android applications.
- Design and develop out-of-the-box solutions.
- Work closely with product, quality engineering, and development team members to ensure a high quality product.
- Ensure adherence to and help refine the best SDLC practices such as code reviews, unit testing, functional automation, user story analysis, continuous integration, etc.
Required Skills:
- BS or MS in Computer Science with equivalent work experience (degrees from top universities a plus).
- 2-5 years of experience in software design and development of mobile applications.
- Solid knowledge of Java, Android SDK, Application Fundamentals, User Interface, Activities, Processes and Threads, Connectivity, Data Storage, etc.
- Solid knowledge in REST API, XML and JSON.
- Strong experience with object-oriented analysis, design and programming (OOA/OOD/OOP)
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge in Android Unit Testing and Automation Frameworks is a huge plus.
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS is a plus.
- Exposure to iOS programming and Design patterns.
- Experience with high volume and highly scalable application is a plus.
- Experience with Git.
- Passion for technology and user friendly products.
- Independent, self-motivated team player. Meticulous and methodical in creating solutions.
- US or foreign countries experience in an internet start-up company is a huge plus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience in short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and have worked on a product that was actually released for public consumption.
