What you will do:       


The Director of Business Development will define and execute Gyaanexchange.com’s  business development strategy with the intent of increasing leverage in user acquisition and content acquisition from traditional education institutions, large scale publishers and celebrity experts.  S/he will identify, drive, negotiate and close on new business partnerships with specific targeted partners across multiple markets.

The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker who is skilled in a broad set of areas including market assessment, partner acquisition, deal formation and ongoing partner management.  This individual has a proven track record of planning, executing and closing deals that tangibly contribute to Gyaanexchange.com’s  financial and strategic objectives.


Responsibilities


  • Research, assess and prioritize business development opportunities across various market segments.

  • Identify, pitch and close critical business development relationships.  Clearly communicate Gyaanexchange.com’s  value proposition externally to Partners.

  • Responsible for full Partnership lifecycle including acquisition, implementation and management of Partner relationships.

  • Develop and communicate the various opportunities in business cases and economic potential.

  • Create and execute on Partnership implementation plans across both internal and external parties.

Requirements


    • A strategic thinker who has a pulse on the market and has the ability to interpret and act upon industry trends to identify new business opportunities while maintaining a sharp focus on day-to-day execution.  Expert negotiation and strong analytical skills are a requirement.

    • Proven success in a fast-paced, startup environment with a hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves approach.  Strong track record of executing with sometimes limited resources.  Has a bias towards action and desire to dig into opportunities quickly.

    • Track record of building strong relationships with key executives and influencers.

    • Ability to work independently and to represent the company externally in a positive light.

    • History of sourcing and executing a meaningful number of partnership transactions.

    • Experience with a wide variety of contracts and deal structures, including co-marketing, revenue share, advertising and M&A.

    • Bachelor’s degree

  • MBA desirable

  • 1+ years experience of relevant experience in business development.

Compensation


  • Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 25,000

  • Performance based Increments to maximum of 30% every 6 months
