Job Summary


The UI developer is responsible for converting visual stories crafted for data representation into world class user interfaces. S/he develops modern web based user interfaces based on user experience and UI Design produced by a web designer. You will work collaboratively with external UI Designers and backend engineers responsible for generating the datawarehouse. You will be building ajax based functionalities like file viewer, JS based graphing components to plot graphs & charts and manipulating data returned through Ajax calls and presenting it using JS.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities


Build, test, deploy and maintains production UI code for complex web applications.


Elegantly implement page designs in standards-compliant dynamic XHTML, CSS and HTML5.


Implement functionality in JavaScript using Ajax Frameworks like Dojo or JSON-RPC.


Build client side UI using MVC based JS frameworks like ember.js knockout.js etc.


Collaborate with the design team to define the information architecture, advocating Web interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability.


Create rapid prototypes of interfaces to be used as a blueprint for content and technical development.


Own the web & user experience of the Glassbeam Analytic Application.


Qualifications


Proficiency in MVC based JS frameworks and other JS frameworks like JQuery etc.


Expert knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Ajax, and Web 2.0 design concepts.


Familiarity with reporting tools such as LogiXML or any other tool is a plus.


Two-to-three years of relevant professional work experience.


Self-motivated, able to work independently. Commitment to high quality, accuracy and attention to detail.


Excellent written and oral communication skills.
